Don't start reading this thrilling and fast-paced novel until you have the time to read all the way through. It is difficult to put down. once you start, but well worth the time to gain a real insight into the complexities of the terrorist world in which we now live. Many accomplished authors do great research, but often are unable to truly capture the real interactions which take place at the top levels of government, our military, and our defense industry...Mike Basford '54 has a long and multi-faceted career which actually put him into the top management circles of these complex organizations; he knows the people and the issues first hand and makes a compelling and very interesting story based on his personal experiences. The venue for his story is a cruise ship. Once again, Mike has the personal experience and paints a realistic and very insightful picture of this increasingly popular means of vacation travel. Not only is Mike a career naval officer but he and his wife are frequent cruisers around the world today. Blended into this thrilling novel is a very insightful assessment of the seismic shift in international relations which is taking place in our world today. I believe his story provides a truly valuable insight for every reader ...and makes it fun to read along the way. I've known Mike for years and have seen this bright and colorful gent in action. I can attest to his knowledge and the accuracy of his, descriptions of the complex relationships he uses in his novel. This is a great and really
relevant story dished out in a compelling thriller style...read it!
